FAQ's
-
All Microblading or Shading techniques are called semi-tattoo. Semi-permanent makeup tattoo is done by a professional makeup tattoo artist and comprises the penetration of a needle or blade tattoo into the skin, where the ink or pigment will stay in the dermis layer of the skin. The pigment color will not change to blue or grayish like when using a regular tattoo technique since semi-permanent tattoos do not penetrate as deep into the skin. Semi-permanent makeup tattoos do not last as long as regular tattoos also because they do not penetrate as deep into the skin.
-
It is a semi-permanent makeup method; the technique uses a small blade to create natural feathering hair-like strokes directly on the skin’s surface. Microblading is suitable for normal and dry skin types.
-
3D Microblading and Shading Brows or Combo Brows is an additional technique to compliment microblading. Shading uses a small needle to create the background and fill in the areas of eyebrows that look empty so that a full and complete look is accomplished. Combo brows are suitable for dry or normal skin types.
-
Ombre' or Powder Brows use a small needle to create a soft, pixel natural gradient look. It also gives great definition and depth to the eyebrows. The technique is suitable for all skin types.
-
YES! I am a certified Permanent Makeup Artist. My license and my shop are approved by the Health Department.
-
At our establishment, we prioritize hygiene and safety by utilizing disposable needles and/or blades exclusively for each client. Our tools undergo thorough sanitization and come in prepackaged, single-use form. Additionally, we employ organic pigments and inks, tailoring them to perfectly match or enhance our clients' natural eyebrow color. Your well-being and satisfaction are our utmost concern.
-
Our procedures are performed with utmost care and comfort. We use numbing cream/gel to minimize any discomfort, and clients typically rate the pain level as mild (2-3 on a scale of 10). You may hear a scratch-like sensation during the procedure. Music is played for relaxation, or you can bring your own earphones and music of choice.
-
The initial or 1st session takes about 3 hours for brows and 4 hours for lips. The refinement (touch up) takes about 2-3 hours. Frist photos are taken where the brow/lip shape is drawn in pencil, so you have an idea of the shape and form, which is customized to each client. Shape measurement is based on your facial bone structure and your natural brows, hair flow, or natural lip shape. Once you have agreed on a final shape, numbing cream will be applied and while the cream takes effect we can decide on color. After the procedure is done, I will take photos and go through post care instructions before you leave.
-
YES! If your previous tattoo significantly faded, your brows or lips can get the procedure done.
-
For brows, you will not be swollen, however the area around your eyebrows might be slightly red but should go away after about a day. For lips, slight swelling is common normally due to skin sensitivity. It should go away after one or two days.
-
Semi-permanent makeup is typically a two-steps process: initial and touch up. However, some clients might need more sessions due to pigment resistance.
-
To keep your eyebrows color results looking fresh, we recommend a touch up every year.
-
Brows last about a year and a half or two years depending on the skin retention, time in the sun, daily skin routines. Microblading fades faster for people with oily skin. Lips last about 3 or 4 years due to no skin pores on lips.
-
Healing time varies to each client. Usually, it takes about 2 weeks. Your brows will go through different phases of healing. Just follow the provided post care instructions and be patient with the healing process.
-
NO! I try to keep all your natural brow’s hair as much as possible for your natural look. However, in some cases, based on the natural hair shape some hair may need to be removed for a new shape to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result.
-
NO! There is no downtime associated with the treatment. Swelling and redness are very normal common due to skin sensitivity and will dissipate within a day or two. Your brows or lip will appear darker initially, but not too dark that you will be prevented from your daily activities.
*** Notes:
Some clients will not retain pigment even after a few sessions, this truly happens. Some skin may react to the trauma of tattooing and may try to reject all foreign pigments. By dermatologists, people with pigment allergy condition or autoimmune disease symptoms are the most to take that risk.
We always do consultation and provide the same service to every client, but healing result or retention is dependent on your skin type, age, diet, facial products used, and lifestyle. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in this industry.
Permanent makeup is not science. It is an art. Technician is an artist, not a skin doctor. It is difficult to know how your skin will react to pigments or how your skin will be healed. This is a potential risk all clients take when getting a procedure.
Please do research/ consultation and think before deciding to go for it.
"Remember, eyebrows are sisters, not twins". Nobody has a symmetrical face shape or the same facial bone structure, and you need to be realistic with your expectations. There is no point to make your eyebrows identical, even, or match your favorite eyebrows in a photo of someone.
We always try the best to give you as perfect eyebrows shape as possible that fits and looks good on your face.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you!
